What is a General Order Warehouse? A general order warehouse is a Customs approved, bonded facility where goods imported into the United States are placed, when an entry form has not been filed with Customs within 15 days of arrival. If after 6 months the goods have not been documented or duties/fees paid, they will be sold at auction, donated to charity or retained by the Government. |
World Trade Distribution offers a full service General Order (G.O.) process, including the filing of your lien and the collection of your monies. You may receive some protection through the G.O. process but we pursue responsible parties through the importer of record, customs broker or a letter of credit trace to find out what or who may have an interest in seeing that the G.O. situation is resolved.
Complete real-time G.O. status reports are available through our website (see Tracking), as well as web tracking. Our G.O. pickup is very prompt anywhere, ocean or air. We have over 50,000 square feet dedicated to G.O. That includes a Class 3 and Class 4 bonded warehouse and yard.
